AISI 420 (American Iron and Steel Institute) martensitic stainless steel abundant in 0.15% carbon, including min. 12% chromium, which offers high hardenability within 54-56 HRC and strength, ductility, machinability and excellent corrosion resistance. High carbon content creates chromium carbide compounds for wear resistance and edge retention after hardening. Due to its high hardness, the steel is suitable for manufacturing cutting tools, knife blades and medical instruments.
Head – type Clip Point with matt satin finishing. The generous belly extends the length of the cutting edge relative to the length of the blade converging toward the needle-sharp tip of the knife. Flat, full cut (Full Flat Grind) reduces weight, provides powerful cutting performance, while the aggressively hollow clip point is suitable for piercing and precision work. Blade opened by means of a stud located on the side of the blade Thumb Stud. The whole thing is locked with a solid locking mechanism Back Lock.
