TM1 BlackMicarta, Satin Blade. E.D.C. folding knife by Italian LionSteel manufactory in Solid® Knife technology. Lightweight yet strong and easy to carry. The only folder with Solid technology equipped with a Back-Lock, it was quite a challenge to use micarta for the monolithic one-piece handle construction.
Design by Molletta, designed by a well-known and respected Italian designer with many years of experience. Michele Pensato (aka Molletta), is distinguished by a new approach to the use of materials and experiments in the application of heat treatment and the use of advanced software in the design of knives.
Sleipner – a high-alloy chrome-molybdenum-vanadium universal tool steel with high wear and chipping resistance. Achieves high hardness of 60-62 HRC. Manufactured in Swedish Uddeholm steelworks.
Blade – a modified Drop Point profile with a pronounced belly provides excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. The Plain blade has a Flat Grind, which perfectly shows off the matte satin finish. Thumb Disc on the back of the blade for opening the knife. Located in the middle of the handle, a solid Back-Lock head lock with a double spring locking mechanism provides greater flexibility of the mechanism and increased durability of the locking system.
IKBS – (ball bearing system) enables fast, smooth opening of the blade.
Handle – in Solid® Knife technology, obtained from a unique block (one piece) of waterproof micarta treated with 4D. This results in a monolithic skeleton (body) of the highest strength, which is a strong, solid structural element. The grip facings were CNC machined to obtain an anti-slip texture. At the bottom of the handle protrusion / hilt, which protects the hand from slipping on the blade during work. Two-position left / right metal clip allows you to carry the knife in tip-up position. Bolted to the frame with a tungsten carbide glass striking screw / nailer. In the back of the lanyard hole, a hole for a cord.
Case – the knife is packed in a soft leather case with an embossed logo of the manufacturer, fastened with two snaps.
