Peer 2015E exceptional folder, designed by respected Polish knifemaker Ostap Hel. Slender knife with the highest quality single edge blade and excellent finish, hand ground brass. Aimed at demanding customers, it combines elegant style with the best materials and legendary workmanship WE Knife brand is famous for.
Blade – Drop point slim and sharp as a needle. Gray Stone Washed finish masks minor scratches caused by use. Smooth Plain blade has a high, flat grind that provides excellent cutting edge geometry, extreme cutting performance and penetration. Ceramic ball bearings in the basket are responsible for the smooth, smooth operation of the blade ejection mechanism, which can be opened by means of the protrusion / flipper fin located on the underside of the blade. In the open position, the protrusion acts as a hilt, protecting the hand from slipping on the blade. Frame-Lock – monolithic lock of the blade made of titanium 6AI4V, one of the handle linings serves as a locking mechanism.
CPM S20CV – The blade is made of one of the best tool steels in the world, American premium stainless steel. Designed to provide better wear and corrosion resistance with balanced strength The balance is achieved by combining edge retaining vanadium with high chromium content. This super steel is comparable to Bohler’s M390 or Carpenter’s CTS-204P. According to some knife manufacturers, 20CV is the best of the three steels in terms of edge retention. It consists of 19.0% carbon, 20.0% chromium, 4.0% vanadium, 1.0% molybdenum and 0.6% tungsten. The high percentage of chromium with a touch of molybdenum makes 20CV one of the best high grade corrosion resistant steels. Manufactured at Crucible Particle Metallurgy (CPM) steel mills.
Handle – Gray Stone Washed finish milled to improve grip with two pieces of solid titanium to which are attached hand rubbed brass caps. Open-backed construction with spacer sleeves between grip liners reduces weight and makes cleaning easier. Simplicity and solidity of this construction assure many years of use. The pivot is decorated with stylized WE brand logo. Right-side, one-position titanium clip allows you to carry the knife in tip-up position.
Case – The knife is packaged in a zippered soft nylon case with the manufacturer’s logo for safe storage and transport of the folder.
