AISI 420(AmericanIron andSteelInstitute) rich in 0.15% carbon, containing min. 12% chromium, a martensitic stainless steel that offers high hardenability (in the 54-56 HRC range) and strength and excellent corrosion resistance. The high carbon content produces chromium carbide compounds, providing wear resistance and edge retention after hardening. Due to its high hardness, the steel is suitable for manufacturing cutting tools and knife blades.
Blade – Drop Point type covered with black protective coating. Small thickness of the blade in combination with high, concave grind gives the perfect geometry of the cutting edge and extreme cutting performance. Pads support the smooth operation of the blade’s opening mechanism, which can be opened with a pin (Thumb Stud) or a quick index-finger flipper. The whole is locked with a solid liner lock.
Handle – black ABS facings mounted to steel frame. Left side finished with striking metallic lacquer. Chamfered edges of the facings eliminate sharp edges for comfort and sure grip. Single position (right) metal deep carry clip allows you to carry the knife discreetly in your pocket in tip-down position. The back of the handle features a lanyard hole, a hole for attaching a safety or decorative cord.
