AISI 420(AmericanIron andSteelInstitute) rich in 0.15% carbon, containing min. 12% chromium, a martensitic stainless steel that offers high hardenability (in the 54-56 HRC range) and strength and excellent corrosion resistance. The high carbon content produces chromium carbide compounds, providing wear resistance and edge retention after hardening. Due to its high hardness, the steel is suitable for manufacturing cutting tools and knife blades.
Blade – Hawkbill type, with a strong tip ideal for piercing and a long cutting edge. Covered with glare eliminating matte BT (Black Teflon) type coating. The small thickness of the blade, combined with a high concave grind,gives excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. The smooth operation of the blade’s opening mechanism, which can be opened by means of a milled recess in the blade, the Nail Nick. This makes the knife legal in countries with a ban on one-handed opening knives. Spinejimping notches on the back of the Handle and upper jimping, a ramp with notches for comfortable thumb rest make it easier to control the knife. The whole thing is locked with a solid back lock.
Handle – black aluminum grips mounted to a steel frame.Chamfered edges of the sheaths eliminate sharp edges, along the entire length made a strong texture for comfort and sure grip. Backspacer to which the grips are attached, guarantees the rigidity and strength of the entire structure. A two-position (right/left) metal clip allows you to carry the knife discreetly in your pocket in tip-up position (blade tip up). In the back of the Handle lanyard hole, a hole for a safety cable.
