M390- martensitic high-performance chrome steel produced by powder metallurgy. Due to its alloy concept, it has extremely high wear resistance and high corrosion resistance. Due to its high wear resistance, it adequately maintains the shape of the edge, so the blade stays sharp for a very long time (requiring minimal maintenance). Another of the advantages is resistance to the formation of „wire” during sharpening. The steel has a high chromium content of 20.0% (Cr) doped with 1.9% carbon (C), vanadium 4.0% (V), and is hardened between 59-61 HRC. This super steel is comparable to Carpenter’s CPM 20CV or CTS-204P steels. Manufactured by Böhler Edelstahl in Kapfenberg, Austria.
Blade – type wharncliff opens with a double-sided bolt in the blade, so it can be easily used by left and right-handed people. We can also open it by means of holes in the wedge. Ceramic ball bearings ensure smooth operation of the opening mechanism. To facilitate sharpening, the beginning of the cutting edge begins with a small choil. The small thickness of the blade in combination with the high, flat grind gives us cutting properties almost on the level of a razor. The blade was finished with „satin” method. The entire blade is locked with a proven and popular frame lock with a steel insert that protects the front of the lock from abrasion.
Handle – a show off of both designer and maker. Made of one piece of titanium in natural grey color, milled on 3D digital machine. Carbon Fiber facings screwed directly to the handle. The single-position clip (right), made of titanium, allows you to carry the knife in tip-up position. As in other models, the pivot is decorated with a stylized logo of the manufacturer.
Case – included for safe storage and transportation of the folder, zippered soft nylon case with the WE brand logo.
