Nitro-V chrome-based martensitic stainless knife steel introduced by New Jersey Steel Baron (NJSB). The manufacturer used an existing superior AEB-L knife steel and upgraded it with nitrogen and vanadium to improve edge performance and achieve high hardness and extreme corrosion resistance, especially critical in the marine industry and humid environments. Nitro V can be used in diving knives because of its stain and corrosion resistance. The recommended working hardness is between 58-62HRC, and it has very good impact strength compared to other steels. It is harder than stainless powder steels such as M390, Elmax and S35VN. Therefore, Nitro-V will be a good fit for knives that require good strength.
Blade – drop point type with a Stonewash finished surface. A small thickness of the blade combined with a high, flat grind allows to perform any cutting job. The blade is mounted on ceramic ball bearings that support the blade ejector mechanism, thanks to which you can efficiently unfold the folder using the Front Flipper. All locked with proven liner lock.
Multi-tool – also opened with Front Flipper in the opposite direction than the blade, locked with liner lock. Made of 9Cr18MoV stainless steel:
- Hex H4/H5/H6/H8/Slotted screwdrivers
- Rescue blade for cutting ropes/straps
- Flathead screwdriver

Handle – chamfered Natural G10 (fiberglass pressed with synthetic resin) facings, attached to stainless steel liners. Surface of the liners with perceptible texture improving grip security. Simple, solid construction provides assurance of long-term use. Open-backed design attached by steel spacer sleeves reduces weight and makes cleaning easier. The pivot is decorated with a stylized Civivi brand logo. Four-position metal wire clip left/right deep carry allows you to carry the knife discreetly in your pocket in tip-up or tip-down position.
Case – comes with a zippered soft nylon case with the manufacturer’s logo for safe storage and transport of the folder.
