D2- high-carbon, high-chromium high-speed tool steel heat-treated to 58-60 HRC. With a high 13.0% chromium (Cr) content, it offers greater corrosion resistance than most high-carbon steels. Combines strength, excellent edge holding and easy sharpening. Features high wear resistance due to high carbide content in the microstructure.

Vacuum & Cryogenic -D2 steel has undergone a specialized heat treatment process involving two key steps. Vacuum Heat Treatment – the steel is quenched in a vacuum environment, which minimizes oxidation and ensures more uniform metal properties. This process increases the strength and structural integrity of the steel. Cryogenic Treatment Once heated, the steel is rapidly cooled to extremely low temperatures, often below -148°F (-100°C). This transformation transforms residual austenite into martensite, significantly increasing hardness, wear resistance and overall durability. Thanks to these advanced processes,D2steel delivers exceptional performance, offering both razor-sharp edge retention and outstanding blade durability.

Blade – Tanto-style blade, designed to withstand significant stress. Finished with a Dark Stonewashed method, which conceals minor scratches.The long cutting edge features a pronounced belly, tapering to a sharp, needle-like tip. The blade thickness ensures high strength, while the high flat grind provides excellent cutting performance.Ceramic ball bearings enable smooth and effortless blade deployment.
