AUS-10- a high-carbon Japanese stainless steel produced at the steel mills ofTakefu Special Steel Corporation,based in Fukui. Rich in vanadium0.3%(V), molybdenum1.20%(Mo) and cobalt1.5%(Co). A balanced combination of high carbon content of1.05%(C) and chromium content of15.50%(Cr) makes it a stainless steel with excellent corrosion resistance, high hardness (hardened to around60 HRC) and the ability to hold an edge for a long time. As a result, the knife can be easily sharpened, providing a razor-sharp blade.

Blackwashed – a blade finishing method that combines two techniques. Black Coating – the blade is coated with a black, protective, non-reflective finish. Stonewashed – after applying the coating, the blade undergoes a process that gives it a slightly aged, satin-matte appearance and effectively conceals minor scratches and signs of use.The final result is a unique, aged look with a matte, dark finish that is both stylish and practical. It is a more aesthetic variant of the classic black stonewashed finish.
