D2 – high-carbon, high-chromium high-speed tool steel heat -treated to 58-60 HRC. With a high chromium content of 13.0% (Cr), it offers greater corrosion resistance than most high-carbon steels. Combines strength, excellent edge holding and easy sharpening. Features high wear resistance due to high carbide content in the microstructure.
PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) – The resistance of the surface of the wedge and cutting edge is enhanced by a vacuum deposition method used to deposit thin films by condensing an evaporated form of the desired material onto the surface of the workpiece. The coating method involves a purely physical process such as high-temperature vacuum evaporation followed by condensation. The applied coating has a very high hardness which significantly increases the resistance of the blade to rust and abrasive wear.
Blade -Clip Point type with a long cutting edge and satin-finished grinds. The fuller is coated with a gray PVD finish to create a contrasting effect.The small thickness of the blade, combined with a high, flat grind, gives excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. Ball bearing ceramic supports the smooth operation of the blade’s opening mechanism, which can be opened with a index-finger flipper. When opened, the flipper forms a mini-guard to prevent the hand from slipping on the blade. On the back of the upper jimping wedge, a notched thumb rest. The whole is locked with a solid Liner Lock.
Handle – made of G10, a composite fiberglass material compressed with synthetic resin. The aggressive texture of the grips provides a firm grip, even with wet hands. The cover’s chamfered edges eliminate sharp edges for comfort, and the finger indentation made on the front improves ergonomics. The open-backed design fixed with steel spacer sleeves reduces weight and makes cleaning easier. A two-position right/left deep carry clip allows you to carry the knife discreetly in your pocket in tip-up position (blade tip up).
