M390 Microclean®- a martensitic high-performance chrome steel produced by powder metallurgy. Due to its alloy concept, it has extremely high wear resistance and high corrosion resistance. Due to its high wear resistance, it adequately maintains the shape of the edge, so the blade stays sharp for a very long time (requiring minimal maintenance). Another of the advantages is resistance to the formation of “wire” during sharpening. The steel has a high chromium content of20.0%(Cr) doped with1.9%carbon (C), vanadium4.0%(V), and is hardened between59-61 HRC.This super steel is comparable to Carpenter’s CPM 20CV or CTS-204P steels. Blade- wide,Clip Pointtype with an elegantSatinfinish. Long cutting edge converging towards the needle-sharp tip of the knife. The small thickness of the blade and thehigh, flat grindgive excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. Ceramic ball bearings assist in opening the blade with a index-finger front flipper. A dual thumb stud in the wedge stylized in the shape of the sun that the mythicalIcarusfollowed to open can also be used. A section of the back of the wedge is covered with upper jimping, a notched thumb rest for easy control of the knife. The whole thing is locked with the proven and popular frame lock with a steel insert to prevent wiping of the lock face.
Handle- is two pieces of solid6AL4V titaniumfinished inBlue Stonewashed.Ergonomically profiled, eliminate sharp edges for comfort, notches made in the grips improve grip security. Open-backed design without the typical backspacer, fastened together with steel spacer sleeves for easy cleaning. A single-position, right-handed titanium clip allows the knife to be carried in the tip-up position, with the tip of the blade upward.
Case – the knife is packed in a zippered nylon soft pouch with the brand’s logo for safe carrying and storage of the folder.
