Selvans Expeditions is a field knife, strong and heavy despite its compact size. Collaboration with Daniele Dal Canto, a professional survival techniques instructor with a Master Advancet title at F.I.S.S.S. (Italian Federation of Sports and Experimental Survival) resulted in a perfectly designed and made outdoor knife.
An extremely durable, versatile knife with a blade that can withstand 150-pound bending loads without fear of breaking. The easy-to-sharpen tanto shape maintains a high sharpness of the cutting edge and penetration ability, regardless of the intensity of wear. Thanks to its weight and balance on the blade, the SelvansExpeditions Dark Stone is an excellent knife for battlefield use and is suitable for heavy field work. Solid handle, easy to replace in case of damage.

N690- corrosion-resistant, high-carbon 1.07% (C), martensitic chromium steel 17.30% (Cr) with the addition of molybdenum 1.10% (Mo), vanadium 0.10% (V) and cobalt 1.50% (Co) for structural uniformity. Features exceptionally high corrosion resistance and long edge retention. One of the best tool steels in the world today. Achieves a hardness of 58 HRC. Manufactured by Böhler Edelstahl in Kapfenberg, Austria.
Blade – a modified Tanto, with a thickness of 6.3 mm. The blade was derived smooth plain blade grind (Flat grind).For additional protection against corrosion, the steel is covered with a chemically polished, non-reflective MIL-C-13924 BURNISHING coating and a stone washed surface treatment -Dark Stonefinish.
Handle- a longer enable enhanced chopping and cutting action. Anti-slip linings with rubber-like properties, made of Forprene thermoplastic elastomer (flexible return, softness, resistance to chemicals), guarantee a secure grip even with wet hands.
Sheath – thigh sheath made of abrasion-resistant, waterproof cordura in sand color with the possibility of attachment under the straps of the M.O.L.L.E. (Modular Lightweight Load-carrying Equipment) system. The holster allows the knife to be carried on a belt or on a vest compatible with the MOLLE system. The lower part of the sheath with Velcro fastening, allowing attachment to the thigh. On the side of the sheath a flint attachment (included), in the pouch paracord and flammable material for lighting a fire with a flint.
