TM1 Carbon Fiber, Satin Blade. E.D.C. folding knife by Italian LionSteel manufactory with Solid® Knife technology. Lightweight, strong and easy to carry. The only folder with Solid technology equipped with a Back-Lock, it was quite a challenge to use carbon fiber for the monolithic one-piece handle construction.
Design by Molletta, designed by a well-known and respected Italian designer with years of experience. Michele Pensato (a.k.a. Molletta), is distinguished by a new approach to the use of materials and experiments in the application of heat treatment and the use of advanced software in the design of knives.
Sleipner – high-alloy chrome-molybdenum-vanadium, versatile tool steel with high wear and chipping resistance. Achieves high hardness of 60-62 HRC. Manufactured in Uddeholm steelworks in Sweden.
Blade – modified Drop Point profile with pronounced belly provides excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. The Plain blade has a Flat Grind that perfectly displays the matte satin finish. Thumb Disc on the back of the blade to open the knife. Located in the middle of the handle, a solid Back-Lock head lock with a double spring locking mechanism provides greater flexibility of the mechanism and increased durability of the locking system.
IKBS – (ball bearing system) allows fast, smooth opening of the blade.
Handle – in Solid® Knife technology, obtained from a single piece (block) of carbon fiber treated with 4D. Thanks to this a monolithic skeleton (body) of the highest strength was obtained, which is a strong, solid construction element. Grip facings were CNC machined to obtain an anti-slip texture. At the bottom of the handle protrusion / hilt, which protects the hand from slipping on the blade during operation. Two-position left/right metal clip allows you to carry the knife in tip-up position. Bolted to frame with tungsten carbide glass striking screw / nailer. In the back of the lanyard hole, a hole for a cord.
Case – the knife is packed in a snap-fastened soft leather case with an embossed manufacturer’s logo.
