9Cr18MoV – Chinese high grade stainless knife steel blade, easy to sharpen. High content of 18.0% chromium and average 0.95% carbon provides excellent corrosion resistance. The presence of 0.8% silicon and 1.3% molybdenum increases steel strength and wear resistance. 9Cr18MoV is characterized by high hardness in the range of 58-60 HRC.
Blade- satin drop point type. Elongated belly extends the length of the cutting edge in relation to the length of the blade, converging towards a needle sharp tip of the knife. Low blade thickness combined with a high Hollow Grind provides excellent cutting characteristics combined with high durability. Steel ball bearings aid in the smooth opening of the blade, which can be opened with an index-finger flipper that acts as a deicer when opened. To maintain full control of the blade, the back of the blade is covered with an upper jimping, notched thumb rest. The whole is locked with a solid liner lock.
Handle – chamfered edges for comfort with non-slip texture for improved grip, made of black ebony, attached to stainless steel liners. Simple, solid construction provides assurance of years of use without weakening the structure. Backspacer made of black G10. Pivot axis decorated with stylized Civivi brand logo. Two-position left/right metal deep carry clip allows you to carry the knife discreetly in your pocket in tip-up position. Lanyard hole.
