9Cr18MoV – high grade stainless knife steel blade, easy to sharpen. High content of 18.0% chromium and average 0.95% carbon provides excellent corrosion resistance. The presence of 0.8% silicon and 1.3% molybdenum increases steel strength and wear resistance. 9Cr18MoV is characterized by high hardness in the range of 58-60 HRC.
Blade – cleaver type (chopper) black stonewashed finish, has an excellent combination of strength, size and speed. The thicker blade provides strength during use of the knife. The thickness of the blade provides strength while the high, flat grind guarantees excellent cutting properties. Ceramic ball bearings ensure smooth operation of the blade’s opening mechanism, which can be opened with a quick flipper (index-finger flipper). When opened, the flipper creates a mini-guard to prevent your hand from slipping on the blade. All locked with solid Liner-Lock mechanism.
The handle is made of a solid piece of black G10 with very rough texture. Backspacer made of the same composite as the sheath. The whole is mounted to steel liners, which in practice means many years of use. The pivot is decorated with stylized Civivi brand logo. Two-position left / right metal deep carry clip allows you to carry the knife discreetly in your pocket in tip-up position. Above the clip a lanyard hole.
Case – included for safe storage and transport of the folder, zippered soft nylon case with Civivi brand logo.
