Nitro-Va new chrome-based martensitic stainless knife steel introduced by New Jersey Steel Baron (NJSB). The manufacturer used the existing superior AEB-L knife steel and upgraded it with nitrogen and vanadium to improve edge performance and achieve high hardness and extreme corrosion resistance, especially crucial in the marine industry and humid environments. Nitro V can be used in diving knives because of its resistance to staining and corrosion. The recommended working hardness is in the 58-62HRC range, and it has very good impact strength compared to other steels. It is harder than stainless powder steels such as M390, Elmax and S35VN. Therefore, Nitro-V will be well suited for knives that require good toughness.
Blade -drop point it opens with a front flipper, which makes it easy to use for both right- and left-handed people. A double-sided thumb stud in the blade can also be used for opening. Ceramic ball bearings ensure smooth operation of the opening mechanism. A small thickness of the blade in connection with high, flat grind gives us cutting properties almost on the level of a razor. The surface of the blade was finished with „stonewash” method. The entire blade is locked by a well-known and proven liner lock.
Handle- consists of facings with a unique 3D pattern made of a mixture of black Carbon Fiber and silvered metal pieces embedded in transparent resin, which were screwed to the steel frame of the knife. The backspacer was also made of black G10. The simplicity and solidity of the construction give the assurance of many years of use. The deep carry clip, single-position (right) made of steel, allows you to carry the knife in tip-up position. In the back of the backspacer there is a lanyard hole for attaching a safety or decorative cord. As in other models, the pivot is decorated with a stylized logo of the manufacturer.
Case- included zippered soft nylon case with the manufacturer’s logo for safe storage and transportation of the folder.
