McKenna Black G10 expressive folder made of very good materials at an attractive price. Design by American knifemaker and knife enthusiast Elijah Isham. He gives his designs an organic form that works best, but also looks good.
Civivi – a sub-brand of WE Knife, a company that makes knives of the highest global quality. Production is done on the same production lines as WE, so the highest standard of assembly is maintained.
D2 – high carbon tool steel. With a high 10-13% chromium content, it offers greater corrosion resistance than most high carbon steels. Combines strength, excellent edge retention and easy sharpening. It is characterized by high hardness in the range of 59-61 HRC and resistance to abrasion.
Blade – wharncliffe type with Satin finish. Small thickness of blade in conjunction with high, flat grind gives cutting properties almost on the level of a razor. The blade is mounted on steel ball bearings that support the work of the opening mechanism, thanks to which the folder can be efficiently unfolded by means of a hole in the head or by using the Front Flipper. This allows for trouble free operation of the knife for both right- and left-handed people. The whole is locked with a proven liner lock. Flipper section is covered with jimping, notched thumb rest making it easier to open the blade.
Handle – beveled facings made of black G10 plastic. Smooth surface of the liners, but with a noticeable texture improving grip confidence. All mounted to stainless steel liners. Simple, solid construction gives assurance of many years of use. Backspacer made of black G10. The pivot is decorated with stylized logo of Civivi brand. Two-position deep left/right metal deep carry clip allows you to carry the knife discreetly in your pocket in tip-up position.
Case – included for safe storage and transport of the folder, zippered soft nylon case with Civivi brand logo.
