Opis
The Flame Dagger Red Lava Fat Carbon / Black Titanium, Black is the result of a collaboration with Michael Zieba – a respected knifemaker who combines classic inspirations with a modern approach to form and function in his designs. This EDC folder is a reinterpretation of the Italian stiletto in a utility format, maintaining its sleek lines, symmetry and aggressive character, while meeting functional requirements. The centerpiece is a dagger-type blade , made of excellent Böhler M390 steel, which ensures long sharpness retention and high corrosion resistance. The single-sided cutting edge ensures that the knife remains fully usable and legal, without losing its stylistic expression. The opening system is based on a ball bearing flipper, which translates into a dynamic and smooth unfolding of the blade. The Fat Carbon composite and Ti6AI4V titanium Handle was designed for durability, rigidity and modern aesthetics. A frame lock with a hardened steel inlay secures the blade during use, and a deep carry clip allows for convenient, low-profile carrying of the folder in a pocket. It is complemented by a Cordura pouch with belt trouser – functional and refined in every detail. Flame Dagger is a choice for users who appreciate quality, design and utility elegance.
Michal Zieba – a knifemaker from Rzeszow, who went to the USA and achieved spectacular success. Zieba Knives, Michal’s company specializes in the production of knives produced in short series with incredible sharpness and unique design. His knives are used by Jennifer Aniston and Sam Kass former White House chef, among others. He was the first Pole to receive the prestigious award at the 2016 Blade Show in the “Best New Maker” category. The award opened many doors for him, including collaboration with Bob Terzuola, a legend and authority on paramilitary, tactical folding knives.
M390 – a martensitic high-performance chrome steel produced by powder metallurgy. Due to the alloy concept, it has extremely high wear resistance and high corrosion resistance. Due to its high wear resistance, it adequately maintains the shape of the edge, so the blade stays sharp for a very long time (requiring minimal maintenance). Another of the advantages is resistance to the formation of “wire” during sharpening. The steel has a high chromium content of 20.0% (Cr) doped with 1.9% carbon (C), vanadium 4.0% (V), and is hardened between 59-61 HRC. This super steel is comparable to Carpenter’s CPM 20CV or CTS-204P steels. Manufactured by Böhler Edelstahl in Kapfenberg, Austria.
PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) a vacuum deposition method used to deposit thin films by condensing an evaporated form of the desired material onto the surface of a workpiece. The coating method involves a purely physical process such as high-temperature vacuum evaporation followed by condensation. The applied coating has a very high hardness which significantly increases the resistance of the blade to rust and abrasive wear.
Blade – dagger type with a clear axis of symmetry. PVD coating finish gives the whole technical character and minimizes traces of use. The applied flat grind increases the precision of cutting, and the single-sided plain-type edge ensures legality and practicality in everyday use. The grain on both sides not only reduces the weight of the blade, but also enhances the aesthetic line and improves balance. Opening with a flipper works extremely smoothly thanks to ball bearings. Safety during operation is taken care of by the frame lock with reinforcement in the form of a steel inlay – a durable, precise and wear-resistant solution.
Handle – grips made of Fat Carbon composite and Ti6AI4V titanium offer high structural rigidity and resistance to wear in everyday use. The Fat Carbon surface provides a subtle matte aesthetic and grip without the need for additional textures. The spacer-bonded body features simplicity and elegance, while maintaining full mechanical resistance. The deep carry clip, also titanium, allows the folder to be carried discreetly with no protrusions. A Cordura case with zipper and belt attachment is included – a refined accessory for discerning users.
