CPM S20CV – US premium stainless steel blade designed to provide better wear and corrosion resistance with balanced strength The balance is achieved by combining edge retaining vanadium with high chromium content. This super steel is comparable to Bohler’s M390 or Carpenter’s CTS-204P. According to some knife manufacturers, 20CV is the best of the three steels in terms of edge retention. It consists of 19.0% coal, 20.0% chromium, 4.0% vanadium, 1.0% molybdenum and 0.6% tungsten. A high percentage of chromium with a touch of molybdenum makes the 20CV is one of the best high-grade corrosion-resistant steels. Manufactured in steel mills Crucible Particle Metallurgy (CPM).
Head – Drop Point finished to mask minor scratches caused by use Gray Stone washed. The thickness of the blade in combination with the high, flat grinding gives us excellent cutting properties. Ceramic ball bearings in the basket answer for smooth and smooth operation of the blade ejection mechanism, which can be opened with flipper.
Frame-Lock – reinforced, monolithic wedge lock made of 6AI4V titanium. One of the facings that serves as the locking mechanism is reinforced with a hardened steel insert to prevent wiping of the lock face. This ensures that the mating parts have comparable hardness, which increases both the strength and life of the knife.
Handle – thick pieces of solid titanium, milled for improved grip, finished by Black Stonewashed. The facings were bolted to a machined titanium backspacer, providing the assurance of use for years. Oś pivot decorates a stylized logo brands WE. Right, single-position titanium clip allows the knife to be carried in position tip-up (tip up).
Case – the knife is packaged in a zippered soft nylon case with the manufacturer’s logo for safe storage and transportation of the folder.
