Ferox, design by Tommaso Rumici, a multi-functional knife from the Italian company FOX. Forged from a single piece of steel with a razor sharp cutting edge and finger ring with snap hook. Plus two screwdriver bits flathead and Phillips screwdriver and a bit adapter that fits into a tool slot located in the handle.
Back ring / tail ring / pommel ring – Precisely contoured to prevent slippage finger ring. Holds knife in position / ready for use ensuring a secure grip, can be used to strike specific points on the body. Prevents knife from slipping when the going gets tough. Includes a clip that resembles a snap hook.
N690Co – High carbon stainless steel head with cobalt added for structural uniformity. Hardened in the range of 58-60 HRC. Manufactured in Austrian steelworks Böhler-Uddeholm.
Physical Vapor Deposition Gun Met – durability of the surface and edges of the blade is increased by the PVD method consisting in deposition of thin layers from the gas phase. Applied coating has very high hardness which significantly increases the blade resistance to rust and abrasive wear.
Blade – Drop Point profile, marked belly of the blade provides an excellent geometry of the cutting edge. The blade is partially serrated and comes out flat (Flat Grind). Finger guard, finger guard and thumb ramp with jimping, textured thumb ramp for better knife control.
Combination Edge – (Partially Serrated), a combination of a serrated blade for aggressive cutting of hard materials, plastics and fibers and a smooth blade for precision cutting. The serrated blade consists of alternating one large and two small teeth called a two-step. This pattern increases the length of the cutting edge by 24% compared to a straight blade.
Handle – textured, non-slip linings of resistant G10 plastic. Notched slots in the covers, each housing a screwdriver bit. Bits are secured by rubber rings, which also provide additional grip. On one side of the handle, there is a tool socket for a bit adapter.
Sheath – light and flat, made of kydex material. Holster protects the knife from falling out and facilitates quick retrieval of the knife in any situation. The pouch allows carrying on the belt in one of the defined positions.
