AISI 420(AmericanIron andSteelInstitute) rich in 0.15% carbon, containing min. 12% chromium, a martensitic stainless steel that offers high hardenability (in the 54-56 HRC range) and strength and excellent corrosion resistance. The high carbon content produces chromium carbide compounds, providing wear resistance and edge retention after hardening. Due to its high hardness, the steel is suitable for manufacturing cutting tools and knife blades.
Blade – Clip Point type coated with glare eliminating, black BT(BlackTeflon) protective coating. The small thickness of the blade, combined with a high concave grind, gives excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. Shims support the smooth operation of the blade’s opening mechanism, which can be opened with a milled recess in the blade (Nail Nick), a peg (Thumb Stud) or with a quick index-finger flipper. On the back of the upper jimping wedge, a notched thumb rest. The whole is locked with a solid liner lock.
Handle – black plastic facings mounted to a steel frame. The left side decorated with a graphic motif of the US flag. Chamfered edges of the facings eliminate sharp edges for comfort and sure grip. A single-position (right/left) metal deep-carry clip allows you to carry the knife discreetly in your pocket in a tip-down position (blade tip down). The back of the handle features a belt cutter and a tungsten-carbide glass breaker.
