AISI 440C(AmericanIron andSteelInstitute) martensitic alloy stainless steel with high 1.10% carbon (C) and high 16.0% chromium (Cr) content and impressive corrosion resistance. It is characterized by a hardness in the 57-59 HRC range. The high carbon content produces chromium carbide compounds, providing excellent wear resistance and edge retention after hardening. Due to its high hardness, the steel is suitable for the manufacture of cutting tools for knife blades and scissors, as well as medical tools.
Dlade – Drop pointfinished with Stonewashed method to minimize glare. Small thickness of blade combined with high concave grind gives excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. The pads support the smooth operation of the opening mechanism of the wedge, which can be opened with a pin (Thumb Stud). On the back of the upper jimping wedge, a notched thumb rest. The whole is locked with solid AXIS lock.
Handle – black G10 facings (fiberglass pressed under pressure with synthetic resin) mounted to steel frame. Chamfered edges of the facings eliminate sharp edges for comfort and sure grip. Prominent Finger Groove arched undercut for index finger makes it easier to control the knife. Two-position (right/left) metal deep carry clip allows you to carry the knife discreetly in your pocket in tip-up position. The back of the handle features a lanyard hole, a hole for a safety or decorative cord.
