Jelly Jerry is a 22-year-old knife designer from Vietnam, his first designs were created in 2017, at the age of 16. Jerry’s designs are meant to be fun, but highly functional and durable. He believes that any design should be ergonomic and give pleasure both aesthetically and in terms of use, it should also be functional as a tool. CPM S35VN – an American martensitic high-alloy stainless steel with a hardness of 59-61 HRC, one of the best steels for blades. Designed to provide better strength compared to CPM S30V, while keeping corrosion resistance at the highest level. Produced by US Crucible Industries using the particle metallurgy / Crucible® Particle Metallurgy (CPM) method. The CPM process creates a very homogeneous, high-quality steel with excellent dimensional stability, grindability and ductility compared to steels produced by conventional methods. The chemical composition has been balanced so that it is composed of 0.5% niobium carbides (Nb) along with 3.0% vanadium (V) and 14.0%chromium (Cr) carbides. Replacing some of the niobium carbides with vanadium carbides makes the steel about 15-20% harder than S30V without sacrificing wear resistance, and it is also easier to machine and polish. The improved strength of CPM S35VN also provides better resistance to edge chipping.
Blade – wide, Sheepsfoot type.Finished with a scratch-concealingSandblastedmethod, a process in which fine sand particles are ejected under pressure onto the blade to give a stylish and practical look.The gently curved cutting edge converges towards the tip of the blade. The thickness of the blade, combined with a high, flat grind, results in excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. Ceramic ball bearings are responsible for the smooth and smooth operation of the mechanism and support the opening of the blade with the index-finger flipper (flipper) when opened acting as a crossguard. The knife can also be opened with a hole in the Blade (thumb hole). On the back of the upper jimping wedge, a notched thumb rest. The whole is locked with the proven and popular frame lock with a steel inlay to prevent wiping of the lock face.
Handle – grips made of titanium 6AL4V, a virtually indestructible metal, insensitive to weather conditions, resistant to chemicals and mechanical damage. To improve grip security, longitudinal holes were milled in them. The titanium backspacer to which the grips are attached guarantees the rigidity and strength of the entire structure. The simplicity and solidity of the construction give the assurance of many years of use. Ergonomic recess under the fingers for easy grip of the Handle. Pivot decorated with stylized manufacturer’s logo. Single-position (right) titanium deep-carry clip allows you to carry the knife discreetly in your pocket in tip-up position (blade tip up). Above the clip a lanyard hole, a hole for threading a cord. Pivot axle, clip and backspacer anodized in blue green.
