Steel
AUS-10 – Japanese stainless steel, often compared to 440C series and for good reason, as the compositions are similar, however, these small differences make AUS-10 harder (usually hardened to around 60 HRC) and blunts slower, without losing its rust resistance. Knives made of this steel are relatively cheap and will be a great choice if your budget is not too high and you care about stainless.
Blade
Drop point type, finished with a scratch masking Darkwash method. Long, slender cutting edge with prominent belly, converges towards needle sharp tip of the knife. Thickness of blade provides high strength while high, flat grind guarantees excellent cutting properties. Ceramic ball bearings ensure smooth operation of the blade ejector mechanism. When opened the flipper creates a mini-guard to prevent slipping of the hand on the blade. The knife can also be opened by means of a recess milled in the blade. On the back of the wedge upper jimping, notched thumb rest. Liner-Lock mechanism.
Handle
Tan G10 (fiberglass compressed with synthetic resin) textured for better grip, screwed to steel knife frame. The open-backed design secured together by steel spacers reduces weight and makes cleaning easier. Simple, robust design gives assurance of many years of use. Deep forefinger groove improves grip security. Pivot axis is decorated with a stylized screw. The two-position (right/left) titanium deep carry clip allows you to carry the knife discreetly in your pocket in the tip-up position (blade tip up).
