D2 – a high-carbon, high-chromium high-speed tool steel heat-treated to 58-60 HRC. With a high 13.0% chromium (Cr) content, it offers greater corrosion resistance than most high-carbon steels. Combines strength, excellent edge holding and easy sharpening. Features high wear resistance due to high carbide content in the microstructure.
Blade – tanto point type, finished with a scratch-masking and glare leveling Dark Stonewashed finish. For ease of sharpening, the beginning of the cutting edge starts with a small choil. A mixed grind is used here, in the rear part is a high, concave grind for cutting and precision work, the so-called Hollow Ground Primary Bevel. In the front part we have a high Flat Ground reinforcing tip grind. To improve piercing capabilities, an unsharpened false blade is brought out in the upper part. On the back of the upper jimping wedge, a notched thumb rest.
Handle – black G10 (pressure-pressed fiberglass with synthetic resin) grips textured for improved grip confidence, screwed directly to the tang. Fore Finger Groove, a deep cut under the index finger, and a finger ring back ring / tail ring / pommel ring prevent the knife from slipping when the going gets tough. The ring is finished with an additional „spike” that allows you to perform many pressure techniques.
Sheath – made of kydex which, thanks to a multi-position Tek-Lok mount, we can attach to a belt or a mount.
