M2 G10 Black, an all-purpose knife from Italian manufactory LionSteel. Extremely handy and easy to carry due to its dimensions and light weight. Developed in collaboration with Michele Pensato, whose goal was to create a handy but reliable tool for all kinds of outdoor use.
Versatile and perfectly balanced with a full tang design with a massive extra wide D2 steel blade, it provides tremendous cutting power. Targeted at bushcraft, survival and hunting enthusiasts. A knife that will serve you for years to come!
Design by Molletta, designed by a well-known and respected Italian designer with years of experience. Michele Pensato (a.k.a. Molletta), is distinguished by a new approach to the use of materials and experimentation in the application of heat treatment and the use of advanced software in knife design.
D2 – a high-carbon, high-chromium high-speed tool steel heat-treated to 58-60 HRC. With a high 13.0% chromium (Cr) content, it offers greater corrosion resistance than most high-carbon steels. Combines strength, excellent edge holding and easy sharpening. Features high wear resistance due to high carbide content in the microstructure.
Blade – massive Drop Point shape and 4 mm thick with a clearly marked belly of the cutting edge. Satin-smooth Plain blade brought out with Full Flat Grind provides strength and tapering of the blade towards the hilt reduces weight improving the geometry of the cutting edge. On the back of the upper jimping wedge, a notched thumb rest.
Handle – non-slip textured facings for better grip. Made of G10 plastic resistant to mechanical damage, chemicals, low temperatures. Enlarged protrusion acts as a gut protecting the hand from slipping on the blade. Attached with Torx T8 stainless steel screws, the facings can be removed to make an improvised spear from the knife.
Sheath – made of abrasion-resistant, waterproof Cordura in black with an additional pocket for a flint or sharpener. Compatible with the M.O.L.L.E. standard, the mount allows the holster to be carried on a belt or on a mount in an upright position.
