Myto Green Canvas Micarta, Satin, high-tech Hi-Tech folder with heavy-duty frame-lock. An exceptional E.D.C. knife from the Italian LionSteel manufactory. Equipped with M390 sintered steel blade, „ReF” fin on the underside of the blade, Double Crown ball bearing system and titanium clip. LionSteel Hand (#HY 68), Torx T6, Torx 8 screw adjustment wrench along with Hex wrench for glass striker screw are included.
Michele “Molletta” Pensato, an Italian knife designer with a passion for archaeology, has turned his love of adventure into the high-end craft of knife design. His career began with an archaeological dig, where he realized the need for a durable knife. Known for his innovative approach to materials and experiments with heat treatment, Pensato has won numerous awards. His designs for lionSTEEL, such as the popular T5 and the award-winning SR11, are distinguished by their practicality and typically Italian rounded shapes. Knife design, although just a hobby for him, has resulted in significant contributions to the lionSTEEL collection.
M390 Microclean®- a martensitic high-performance chrome steel produced by powder metallurgy. Due to its alloy concept, it has extremely high wear resistance and high corrosion resistance. Due to its high wear resistance, it adequately maintains the shape of the edge, so the blade stays sharp for a very long time (requiring minimal maintenance). Another of the advantages is resistance to the formation of „wire” during sharpening. The steel has a high chromium content of 20.0% (Cr) doped with 1.9% carbon (C), vanadium 4.0% (V), and is hardened between59-61 HRC.This super steel is comparable to Carpenter’s CPM 20CV or CTS-204P steels. Blade – Drop Point finished in an elegant Satin method. Plain blade derived with Flat Grind which gives excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. Frame-Lock reinforced monolithic 6AI4V titanium blade lock, one of the grip linings acts as a locking mechanism. Located on the underside of the blade, the protrusion / flipper, supported by the Double Crown ball bearing system, facilitates the opening of the blade. In the open position, it serves as a lower guard / hilt protecting the hand from slipping off the handle.
ReF – (Removable Flipper System) located on the underside of the blade protrusion / flipper fin assisted by Double Crown makes it easy to open the blade with one hand. It consists of a small lever (protrusion) that extends beyond the back of the Handle when the Blade is closed. In the open position, the protrusion acts as a stinger, protecting the hand from slipping on the blade. In the folder, it is possible to unscrew the Removable Flipper System lever (unscrew the flipper fin, then insert the second screw included in the box) and open the blade with both hands. This is important in countries where there is a ban on knives with one-handed opening blades in public places.
Double Crown – ball bearing system is an evolution of the standard mechanism. It improves blade rotation, allows faster, even smoother opening of the blade, and keeps the blade stable in a straight line.
Handle – left side, presentation, made of green Canvas Micarta (pressure-pressed canvas with synthetic resin). The right side is 3D-machined solid titanium screwed to a CNC-milled titanium backspacer, which means that such a design is virtually indestructible. The titanium Solid® clip allows you to carry the knife in tip-up position (tip up). The clip is bolted to the titanium frame with a tungsten carbide screw/glass striker. In the back of the lanyard hole facings, a hole for a cord.
