T6 Green Micarta, Satin K490, limited to 999 copies LionSteel knife with Solid® technology. The goal was to create a reliable tool with high portability, designed for all outdoor uses: cutting, chopping, batoning, chopping. The outdoor knife of great resistance, full tang construction with a head of the latest Bohler K490 steel, for enthusiasts of bushcraft, survival, hunting.
Design by Molletta, designed by well-known, respected Italian designer with many years of experience. Michele Pensato (a.k.a. Molletta), is distinguished by a new approach to the use of materials and experimentation in the application of heat treatment and the use of advanced software in the design of knives.
Steel
K490 powder steel combines wear resistance and toughness at a high level! High hardness (up to 64 HRC), high resistance to adhesive wear and abrasive materials. Manufactured in Böhler-Uddeholm steelworks in Austria.
Blade
Unusually sharp Drop Point with well marked belly. Plain blade with Flat Grind, which perfectly shows off the elegant Satin finish. The thickness of the blade 5.5 mm provides high durability for all kinds of work that will be done with it. Finger choil, undercut between the handle and the cutting edge, facilitates control of the knife.
Handle
In Solid® Knife technology, obtained from a monobloc (one piece) of waterproof micarta (canvas pressed under pressure with synthetic resin) machined on a four-axis CNC machine. The result is a lightweight, monolithic skeleton (body) of the highest strength, which is a strong, solid structural element. Grip facings are also CNC machined to give an anti-slip texture. On the underside of the handle protrusion / hilt, which protects the hand from slipping on the blade during operation. Flat bolt is useful for lighting a fire with flint, in an emergency it can be used as a hammer or glass breaker and with a lanyard hole for a cord.
Sheath
Made of kydex material combined with abrasion resistant, waterproof Cordura in black. Protects against falling out and facilitates quick retrieval of the knife. Clasp secures the knife against falling out. Compatible with the MOLLE standard allows the holster to be attached under the webbing of the M.O.L.L.E. (Modular Lightweight Load-carrying Equipment) system or carried on a belt or on the equipment.
