14C28N- martensitic chromium stainless steel is the latest development in the range of knife steels produced by SwedishSandviksteel mills. Vacuum & Cryogenic- the14C28Nsteel undergoes a specialized heat treatment process involving two key stages.Vacuum Heat Treatment:the steel is heated in a vacuum environment, minimizing oxidation and ensuring more uniform metal properties. This process enhances the strength and structural integrity of the steel.Cryogenic Treatment:after heating, the steel is rapidly cooled to extremely low temperatures, often below -100°C (-148°F). This transformation converts residual austenite into martensite, significantly increasing hardness, wear resistance, and overall durability. These advanced treatments enable14C28Nsteel to deliver exceptional performance, offering both razor-sharp edge retention and remarkable blade longevity.
Blade – sheepfoot type.Finished with a scratch-concealingSandblastedmethod, a process in which fine sand particles are ejected under pressure onto the blade to give a stylish and practical look.The long, slender cutting edge converges towards the needle-sharp tip of the knife. The thickness of the blade provides high strength while the high, flat grind guarantees excellent cutting properties. Ceramic ball bearings are responsible for the smooth and smooth operation of the blade advancement mechanism. The flipper flipper flipper when opened forms a mini-guard preventing the hand from slipping on the blade. We can also open the knife with the help of a hole milled in the wedge. Handle – black G10 (pressure-pressed fiberglass with synthetic resin) facings,textured to improve grip security, screwed to the steel frame of the knife. The whole thing is bolted to a solid backspacer, also made of G10. The simple, solid design gives you the confidence of many years of use. A deep finger undercut (fore finger groove) improves grip security. The pivot axis is decorated with a screw with a stylized manufacturer’s logo. A single-position (right-side) titanium deep-carry clip allows you to carry the knife discreetly in your pocket in tip-up position (blade tip up). Above the clip a lanyard hole, a hole for threading a safety or decorative cord.
