Thrill Red Aluminum, Satinultralight classic folder from the Italian LionSteel manufactory with handle manufactured in Solid® technology. Proof of the high technological development used in the production of knives. Equipped with SlipJoint mechanism, „no lock”, built from one piece of material. An excellent tool for most cutting jobs, socially friendly, legal in most countries.
Design by Molletta, designed by a well-known and respected Italian designer with years of experience. Michele Pensato (a.k.a. Molletta), is distinguished by a new approach to the use of materials and experiments in the application of heat treatment and the use of advanced software in the design of knives.
M390 Microclean®- a martensitic high-performance chrome steel produced by powder metallurgy. Due to its alloy concept, it has extremely high wear resistance and high corrosion resistance. Due to its high wear resistance, it adequately maintains the shape of the edge, so the blade stays sharp for a very long time (requiring minimal maintenance). Another of the advantages is resistance to the formation of „wire” during sharpening. The steel has a high chromium content of 20.0% (Cr) doped with 1.9% carbon (C), vanadium 4.0% (V), and is hardened between59-61 HRC.This super steel is comparable to Carpenter’s CPM 20CV or CTS-204P steels. SlipJoint – „no lock” non-locking mechanism used in folders. Uses spring pressure on a flat notch on the back of the blade to keep the blade open during use. Slip Joint holds the blade in both folded and unfolded positions. Force is required to fold/unfold the knife.
IKBS – ball bearing system, allows fast and smooth opening of the blade.
Blade – Drop Pointtype provides excellent cutting edge geometry. Smooth blade (Plain type) was made withFull Flat Grind, which emphasizes the satin matte finish of the blade. Knife is opened with double sided nail nick on the blade.
Handle – in red color. Made of a single block of Ergal aluminum treated with Solid® Knife technology. Using CNC machine tools resulted in a lightweight, monolithic skeleton (body) of the highest strength, which is a solid structural element. Non-slip cover texture for a better grip.
H.WAYL- (HideWhatAnnoysYouLionsteel)hidden right side clip allows you to carry the knife in tip-up position. Retracting the clip is done only with the push of a button. A solution appreciated during long-term use of the knife, when the classic protruding clip can interfere with work.
