Hawkbill – the blade mimics the way an eagle’s talons tear, pierce and cut. The shape of the blade allows full control of the object to be cut, keeping it on a curved sharp edge, preventing the object from slipping off the end of the blade. Crossbill , a folder that has integrated the dynamics of the Hawkbill blade profile with the extraordinary cutting power of the partially serrated CombinationEdge blade.
Blade – Hawkbill is made of easy-to-sharpen 8Cr13MoV stainless steel (equivalent to Japanese AUS-8 steel). Hollow grind blade enables effective cutting with entire cutting surface as well as ultra thin tip. Comet-shaped cut-out (Spyderco patent) for opening the blade with the thumb. Solid Back-Lock with additional Boye Detent, preventing accidental release of the lock when the knife is firmly gripped.
Handle – linings made of solid Stainless Steel. Ergonomic shape provides a comfortable and secure grip even when wearing gloves. Openings in the sheaths allow air circulation to dry a wet blade faster. The pocket knife is equipped with a right-side metal clip with the possibility of fastening in two planes (Right Tip-up / Tip-down). In the back of the handle, a hole (lanyard hole) allows the attachment of a safety cord.
