SlipJoint- non-locking mechanism used in folders. Uses spring pressure on a flat notch on the back of the blade to hold the blade open during use. Force is required to fold the knife. Slip-Joint holds the blade in both folded and unfolded positions.
Blade-Clip Pointprofile, 1.9mm thick, made of3Cr13stainless steel that holds sharpness well.Plainblade with Full Flat Grind. Satin Finish (semi-matte) coating eliminates glare. Round SpyderHole (Spyderco patent) makes opening the knife easier.
Handle- covered withstainless steelfacings. Lanyard hole in back of handle for attaching safety cable or ball chain to hang knife around neck or to attach to key-ring / o-ring / key ring.
Packaging- the folder was packed in an elegant cardboard box with Spyderco logo embossed on it.
