14C28N – martensitic chromium stainless steel is the latest development in the range of knife steels produced by Swedish Sandvik steel mills. An optimized chemical composition with a unique combination provides superior quality, excellent edge performance, high hardness and corrosion resistance. By reducing the amount of carbon 0.62% (C) and increasing the chromium content 14.0% (Cr), as well as adding nitrogen 0.11% (N), corrosion resistance has been significantly improved. Considered an improved version of 13C26 steel. Unbeatable in the price / quality category!
Blade – Reverse Tanto type, coated with a protective coating based on titanium. The backbone extends the length of the cutting edge in relation to the length of the slender blade converging towards the needle-sharp tip of the knife. The long grain further strengthens the blade, and holes drilled in it improve the balance of the knife. The thickness of the blade provides high strength while the high, flat grind gives excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. Ball bearings support the opening of the blade with a quick flipper (index-finger flipper) when opened acting as a stag. A section of the blade’s back is covered with an upper jimping, notched thumb rest for easy control of the knife. The whole thing is locked with the proven and popular liner lock.
Handle – grips made of two-tone G10, a virtually indestructible plastic that is insensitive to weather conditions, resistant to chemicals and mechanical damage. Chamfered edges of the covers eliminate sharp edges and surface texturing improves grip confidence. The backspacer also made of G10, to which the grips are attached, guarantees the rigidity and strength of the entire structure. A single-position, right-handed deep-carry clip allows the knife to be carried in the tip-up position, with the tip of the blade upward.
