Steel
1.4116, X50CrMoV15 – molybdenum-vanadium steel used for high-end knives, cutlery and surgical instruments. It is characterized by relatively high, as for stainless steels, hardness. Resistant to corrosion in kitchen conditions. It is a recommendable alternative to 1.4034 / X46Cr13 / 4H13. Chemical composition is enriched by Chromium content, addition of Molybdenum and Vanadium.
Blade
Drop Point profile, 3.0 mm thick, made of 57-59 HRC hardened stainless steel. Low scandi grind with a hell of a sharp cutting edge and excellent durability. Notch in the front for safe cutting of belts or straps. Long hole in blade and notched back serves for making an improvised spear.
Handle
Covered with solid liners made of durable ABS plastic in dark green color. Contoured handle provides a secure and safe grip, also when wearing gloves. The knife lies very well in hand, does not slip and can be easily operated in any conditions. Additionally fingers are protected by one-piece rim.
Sheath
Flat, plastic sheath made of plastic. Holes around the scabbard allow for attaching Tek Lok type systems, or attaching to paracord to your equipment.
