154CM – a high-quality stainless tool steel used in the manufacture of knives and other cutting tools. A premium steel that offers excellent edge retention, strength and corrosion resistance. Developed by US Crucible Industries, which specializes in producing alloys for industrial applications. It contains a combination of carbon, chromium, molybdenum and vanadium, which give it exceptional properties. The name „154CM” stands for 1.54% carbon and the inclusion of the elements chromium (Cr) and molybdenum (Mo). It is often compared to other premium steels such as S30V, S35VN and CPM 20CV. Knives made from 154CM steel are valued by enthusiasts and professionals alike for their superior performance and durability.
Blade – drop point type, finished with an elegant Satin method achieving a semi-matte effect. The long cutting edge converges towards the needle-sharp tip of the knife. The thickness of the blade and the high, flat grind give excellent cutting-edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. Ball bearing ceramic supports the opening of the blade with a quick flipper (index-finger flipper) acting as a stag once opened. The entire blade is locked with a modern Liner Lock.
Handle – monolithic, made of a single piece of multi-layer black G10 composite (pressure-pressed fiberglass with synthetic resin) milled with CNC 3D machine tools together with a perfectly fitted carbon fiber insert. This provides unbelievable durability but requires the utmost skill and precision in manufacturing. Chamfered cover edges and a fore finger groove eliminate sharp edges and improve ergonomics of the grip. The pivot is decorated with a stylized Rike Knife brand logo and a blue titanium circle. A two-position (right/left) deep-carry clip allows you to carry the knife discreetly in your pocket in tip-up position (blade tip up).
Case – the knife is packed in a zippered nylon soft pouch with the brand’s logo for safe carrying and storage of the folder.
