Grasshopper Black, an impressively sharp fully functional lightweight folding mini knife fromSpyderco. Spyderco’s micro slipjoints are fully functional cutting tools, small enough to be used as key chains. Made of stainless steel in an attractive all black black oxide coating finish. Gift idea with the possibility of engraving / personalization on the handle facings.
SlipJoint- non-locking mechanism used in folders. Uses spring pressure on a flat notch on the back of the blade to hold the blade open during use. Force is required to fold the knife. Slip-Joint holds the blade in both folded and unfolded positions.
Blade-Clip Pointprofile, 2mm thick, made of 3Cr stainless steel with good sharpness retention.Plaintype blade with Full Flat Grind. Satin Finish (semi-matte) coating eliminates glare. Round SpyderHole (Spyderco patent) makes opening the knife easier.
Handle- covered withstainless steelfacings. Lanyard hole in back of handle for attaching safety cable or ball chain to hang knife around neck or to attach to key-ring / o-ring / key ring.
Packaging- the folder was packed in a cardboard box with Spyderco logo embossed on it.
