Chaparral Birdseye Maple Plain. Chaparral is the name of a shrub native to the western United States. It has a unique ability to survive in harsh environments and regenerate quickly. Chaparral is a unique series of ultralight, compact folders based on the same construction platform, differing in finish and type of facings. Probably the thinnest Spyderco, a knife for gentlemen (gentleman’s knife), does not burden the pocket, attracts attention with elegant design. One of the best EDC.
CTS XHP – extremely corrosion resistant, modern American high carbon and high chrome powder steel. Designed for production of high-quality blades and knives. Manufactured in Carpenter Technology Co.
Blade – 1.9mm thick with Leaf Shaped profile. Plain blade with Full Flat Grind. The flat grind guarantees perfect geometry of the cutting edge with a sharp tip, reduces the weight of the knife and presents a beautiful satin finish. The enlarged 14 mm round SpyderHole (Spyderco patent) makes it easy to open the blade with cold or wet hands. Notched thumb rest, spine jimping and finger choil jimping, and index finger rest between handle and cutting edge make it easier to control the knife. Strong Back-Lock located in the middle of the blade.
Handle – profiled, covered with ultra-thin grips. Made of Birdseye maple with amazing texture. Folder is equipped with a screwed clip made of wire (left/right) allowing to carry the knife in tip-up position.
