Berus 2 Carbon Fiber, design by Tommaso Rumici. Forged from a single piece of steel, this lightweight 95g compact multifunctional knife from Italian brand Viper. It features a comfortable handle and a razor-sharp, short strong blade with a flat cutting edge.
M390 Microclean® – the highest quality modern tool steel. Produced by powder metallurgy technology with extremely high corrosion and wear resistance. High-chromium steel with a chromium (Cr) content of 20.0% and vanadium (V) content of 4.0%. Hardened in the range of 59-61 HRC. The steel has undergone vacuum and cryogenic treatments and double tempering. Manufactured at the Böhler-Uddeholm steelworks in Austria.
Blade – Sheepsfoot (sheep’s foot) type highlights the satin finish of the blade. The small thickness of the blade combined with a high, flat grind gives us an extremely effective cutting tool. Spine jimping, a notched support on the back of the blade, and finger choil, an undercut for the index finger, provide precise control of cutting direction.
Handle – is the result of ergonomics research, despite its size, provides a secure grip. Made of black carbon fiber (Carbon Fiber), riveted directly to the blank, provides a virtually indestructible construction. The rounded shape of the covers eliminates sharp edges. On the back of the handle, an enlarged lanyard hole, or hole for attaching a belay line.
Sheath – when designing, great emphasis was placed on the ease of carrying and retrieving the knife. Flat, lightweight holster made of Kydex plastic. It comes with a practical multi-position UltiClip adapted for attachment to a pocket or belt. This makes it possible to use the Berus also as a clinch pick (a short knife for ultimate defense in a clinch). In addition, the kydex sheath of the Berus is compatible with the Tek-Lok mount as well as can be worn around the neck like a neck knife.
