Steel
D2- high carbon tool steel. With its high 10-13% chromium content, it offers greater corrosion resistance than most high carbon steels. Combines strength, excellent edge retention and easy sharpening. It is characterized by high hardness in the range of 59-61 HRC and resistance to abrasion.
Blade
Sheepfoottype, finished with Dark Stonewash method for masking scratches and preventing reflections. Nearly flat cutting edge converges towards needle sharp tip of the knife. Thickness of blade provides high strength while high, flat grind guarantees excellent cutting properties. Ceramic ball bearings ensure smooth operation of the blade ejector mechanism. The flipper blade when opened creates a mini-guard preventing your hand from slipping on the blade. The knife can also be opened by means of a hole milled in the blade. On the back of the wedge upper jimping, notched thumb rest. Liner-Lock mechanism.
Handle
OD GreenG10(fiberglass compressed with synthetic resin) textured handle grips screwed to steel frame for better grip. The open-backed design secured together by steel spacers reduces weight and makes cleaning easier. Simple, robust design gives the assurance of many years of use. Pivot axis is decorated with stylized screw. The pivot axis is adorned with a stylized Kubey Knife brand logo. Two-position (left/right) metal deep carry clip allows you to carry the knife discreetly in your pocket in tip-up position. Above the clip lanyard hole, a hole for threading a safety or decorative cord.
