M5B Green Canvas,PVD Stone Washed a medium sized, multi-purpose knife from Italian manufactory LionSteel. The goal was to create an easy to carry, reliable knife with low weight for all kinds of outdoor work. Versatile outdoor knife with full tang construction and Swedish Sleipner steel head, aimed at enthusiasts of survival, hunting, lovers of other outdoor activities.
Design by Molletta, designed by well-known, respected Italian designer with many years of experience. Michele Pensato (a.k.a. Molletta), is distinguished by a new approach to the use of materials and experiments in the application of heat treatment and the use of advanced software in the design of knives.
Sleipner- high-alloy chrome-molybdenum-vanadium universal tool steel with high wear and chipping resistance. Achieves high hardness of 60-61 HRC. Manufactured in Uddeholm, Sweden.
PVD + Stonewashed – the blade undergoes a process that masks minor scratches with a Stone Washed finish. Then, the durability of the blade’s surface and cutting edge is enhanced through a method involving PhysicalVaporDeposition(PVD), where a thin surface coating is deposited on the substrate by condensation from the gas phase to the solid phase. The applied coating has very high hardness, significantly increasing the blade’s resistance to abrasive wear.
Blade – extremely sharp Drop Point shape, with marked belly, ideal for any work. Smooth Plain blade has been drawn with high Flat Grind, high grind guarantees excellent cutting properties. The enlarged rim protects the hand from slipping on the blade.
Handle – milled facings with non-slip texture provide excellent grip. Made of damage-resistant, chemical-resistant, temperature-resistant green micarta. Mounted with Torx T8 stainless steel screws. Flat bolt helps to light a fire with flint, in case of emergency can be used as a hammer or glass breaker, additionally lanyard hole, hole for fishing line.
Scuff-resistant, waterproof Cordura sheath in black with additional pocket for sharpening stone, flint or small accessories. M.O.L.L.E. compatible attachment allows the holster to be carried on a belt or on a brace.
